The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is responsible for service excellence throughout the onboarding team, serves as a brand ambassador for DOHC and oversees the recruitment cycle. This role partners with the AVP, to ensure that open positions are filled. Will also work with the hiring managers in a consultative capacity and will focus on delivering top talent while providing proactive and timely communication on the status of each search. The TAS is expected to stay abreast of industry and market specific information or trends that could impact sourcing and onboarding. It is also important for the TAS to build a professional rapport with the candidates and hiring managers. Must be able to handle challenges while demonstrating innovation and outside the box thinking.
Professional Duties
  • Assist the Senior Onboarding Specialist with recruitment efforts for open positions (i.e. paperwork, contacting candidates, etc.)
  • Source and represent the company at recruitment events.
  • Develop relationships with vocational and trade schools. Visit the schools to build relationships and showcase the organization.
  • Serve as the point of contact for outside recruiters.
  • Manage job postings and requisitions.
  • Maintain and create the company's job descriptions and create or update wage scales as needed.
  • Function as an in-house recruiter and strategize on ways to fill positions.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to create and maintain an appropriate social media presence.
  • Coordinate weekly recruiting update calls/meetings with the onboarding team.
  • Source candidates utilizing a variety of methods and tools (i.e. Indeed, internal applicant tracking system, relationships with schools, etc.).
  • Send out monthly reports to hiring managers on the status of their open position(s) to include job posting statistics and inquire if the position is still needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to utilize computers, software applications and other office equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, candidates, recruiters and others.
  • Must possess excellent and effective verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
  • At the discretion of DOHC/FHC management, this position has the potential to be a full or hybrid telecommuting position.
