Basic experience in the Mechanical Trades and the basic experience working in the following areas: conveyors, electrical plumbing, HVAC, water and sewer systems, hydraulics, reading plans and drawings, building construction and painting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair and maintain machines, mechanical equipment and buildings and work on plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning and heating systems.
Build partitions, make plaster or drywall repairs, fix or paint roofs, windows, doors, woodwork, and other parts of building structures.
Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in cafeteria, offices and warehouses.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
Following a checklist, they will inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions while keeping accurate records of their work.
Troubleshooting and fixing electrical switches, unclogging drains, repair conveyor systems, forklifts and swing-reach equipment.
Inventory and order supplies and repair parts as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Forklift Certification Training.
Starcrest Safety on Target trained by Supervisor or designate.
SPECIAL TOOLS / EQUIPMENT:
All hand tools and power tools associated with maintenance and repair of conveyor systems, HVAC systems, electrical and electronic equipment and plumbing.
Must be able to push/pull/lift/carry 100lbs.
