This SUPERVISORY METEOROLOGICAL TECHNICIAN position, is located in the Air National Guard Reconnaissance Wing, Operations Group, Operations Support Squadron, Weather Flight and is part of the CA 163 ATKW.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION

The primary purpose of the SUPERVISORY METEOROLOGICAL TECHNICIAN, GS-1341-11, is to direct the performance of a group of Meteorological Technicians who provide meteorological services, weather observations and forecasts in support of world-wide Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to ensure mission effectiveness, resource protection, and flight safety.

May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

General Experience: Possess experience, education or training performing meteorological watch; and communicating effectively orally and in writing; Experience using computer and automation systems.

SUPERVISORY METEOROLOGICAL TECHNICIAN, GS-1341-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, in: applying principles and procedures of various meteorological models and forecasting techniques; Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating numerous meteorological and oceanographic charts, planning, organizing and coordinating work; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
